Your pet has different needs at different stages of their life. With our Wellness Recommendations, you will feel confident in the care you’re giving them! By following these recommendations, your cat or dog will live their best life, and you’ll be able to plan comprehensive, preventative care for years to come.
Puppy & Kitten Wellness
Give your pet a strong start to life! We suggest the following treatments for your puppy or kitten.

Schedule a baseline wellness exam.
Vaccinate with boosters every 4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old.
Test for intestinal parasites.
Treat for preventative deworming.
Test kittens for feline leukemia and FIV.
Begin monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.
Discuss spaying or neutering your pet.

Feed your pet puppy or kitten food determined by their size, breed, and activity.

Work on training and socialization with other animals, people, and new environments.

Adult Wellness
Keep your mature pet happy and healthy with annual checkups and routine treatments.

Schedule annual wellness exams.
Test regularly for intestinal parasites and heartworm.
Schedule annual wellness bloodwork and urinalysis.
Continue year-round heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.
Vaccinate your pet as indicated by age and lifestyle.
Schedule dental cleanings yearly (or as indicated by oral exam).

Feed your pet a complete and balanced adult pet food.
For cats, add in more canned food.
Consider adding in joint supplements for active pets.

Keep your pet active and engaged with toys, exercise, and enrichment.
For anxious pets, consider treatment for separation anxiety or storm/loud noise anxiety as needed.
Senior Wellness
As our beloved dogs and cats grow older, their needs change—making regular wellness care more important than ever.

Schedule senior bloodwork, including thyroid testing.
Continue year-round heartworm, flea, and tick prevention.
Vaccinate your pet as indicated by age and lifestyle.
Schedule dental cleanings as indicated by oral exam.
Undergo radiographs for preventative care and arthritis management.
